DORA HOROVITZ
(1897-1978)
Dora Horovitz graduated the Graphische Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt, Vienna in 1930 as a master craftsman. From 1925 to 1934, she ran the prestigious studio Geiringer & Horovitz together with Trude Geiringer (1890-1981). Horovitz’s photographs of celebrated actors and intellectuals were regularly published in Die Bühne and Moderne Welt. The studio was also represented at the Viennese version of Film und Foto in 1930. In 1939, Horovitz moved to California where she ran her successful studio – Harvey Studio – with her brother until her death in 1978.
