LOUISE DAHL WOLFE
(1895-1989)
Louise Dahl-Wolfe was an American photographer known primarily for her work for Harper’s Bazaar in association with fashion editor Diana Vreeland (1903-1989). Dahl-Wolfe operated a New York City photographic studio from 1933 to 1960, in which she undertook freelance advertising and fashion work for stores such as Bonwit Teller and Saks Fifth Avenue. She was staff photographer at Harper’s Bazaar from 1936 to 1958 and her images made it onto 86 covers, 600 colour pages as well as black and white shots.
